Robert and Mary Ann are on the left, Robert's sister Jane and her husband Robert Ritchie are on the right. We're not sure whose children are in the photo.

The photo is from sometime in the 1870s, and is taken on the site of the Hastings centennial farm, just off US23, and a half mile or so north of Alcona Rd. For reference, the Mt. Joy Cemetery is on the NE corner of US23 and Alcona Rd. Bill Hastings, who lives on the original Hastings land, still has some beams from the barn that used to stand behind this cabin. The barn came down in the 1930s.
