GRAVES OF VETERAN SOLDIERS IN ALCONA COUNTY CEMETERIES

Alcona County Review 10/3/1912
Copied from Mt Joy Cemetery Book
(includes John J London)

According to the 10/3/1912 Alcona County Review:
"GRAVES OF VETERAN SOLDIERS IN ALCONA COUNTY CEMETERIES"
I am just in receipt of a communication for the War Department at Washington, DC, saying: "Date of death is not permitted on headstones." I have taken considerable pains to obtain the following information, both as to service record and date of death, and I thought best to publish the whole matter, so that the general public could have the benefit of my research, and a record, if they cared to keep it.
Below is the name of the cemetery they are in, the number of the lot (where the lots in the cemetery are numbered) they are buried on, name, rank, service record and date of death.
