Description : Death of Eliza [Hastings] Teeple on 9/1/1918; burial in Mt. Joy on 9/4/1918.
Transcription : HAYNES RESIDENT FOR HALF A CENTURY Mrs. Eliza Teeple, 63, wife of Fred Teeple of Haynes, died at the family home in that place Sunday of hardening of the arteries, after an extended period of ill health which developed into the critical stage about a month ago. Mrs. Teeple was born in Canada, but came to this county about fifty years ago, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hastings, who were among the earliest settlers in Haynes, and had spent her entire life here. Besides the husband, three sons, Wallace and Earl of Haynes, and Wilson of the A. E. F. in France, and two daughters, Mrs. Milo Johnson and Mrs. J. Yuill of Duluth, survive her. The funeral services were held Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church in Haynes, Rev. Boyce officiating, and the remains were interred in the Mt. Joy Cemetery.
