Description : Injury of Joseph Ritchie.
Transcription : Local Sayings and Doings. Last Monday a man named Joseph Ritchie, working in Millen's camps, received a ghastly wound in the forehead by an axe, severing the temporal artery, and causing him to bleed nearly to death before the flow of blood could be checked. He was working on a skidway, when a log rolled from the top, struck his upraised axe, and sent the bitt of the same into his forehead. He was attended by Dr. Lister, of Alcona.
