The Sturgeon Pointe life saving crew received their first call last week from the schooner Racine which drifted on a bar at Alcona. A tug came to the Racine's assistance from Alpena also, but not being able to pull her off she left for Alpena for assistance. During her absence the wind veered around to the nor'west and carried the schooner into safe water without damage.
