    "In the spring of 1636 Rev. John Wareham left Dorchester Mass. and came to Windsor Conn. bringing with him his flock of 60 people among whom were Thomas Holcombe, Edward and John Bartlett, Thomas Bascomb, Thomas Bliss, Edward and George Griswold.
    The spring of 1639 George Griswold and Edward Bartlett move to Poquonock, 4 miles NW of Windsor where in 1640 they built a frame, brick lined, house on Stoney Brook 1 mile south of Poquenock Center, or the 2nd house from Fort Stoughton. Thomas Holcombe became neighbor to John Bartlett there in 1649, where John kept Rivulet Ferry across Farmington River."

    "April 19, 1670. John Moses complains against Edward Bartlett for attaching 18 bushels of corn at Massacoe. - Judgement against John Moses 10 shillings and costs."

    BARTLETT FAMILY - EDWARD, d. 1676; no family; made his will 24 Feb., 1675, as he was entering service against the Indians; mentions his house and land at Greenfield, money due to him from James Hillier, also from the county, etc. He gave property to Benoni, son of Christopher Crow, of Simsbury; also to Josiah Clark.
