His will, undated, proved 3 Mar. 1809, gave $200.00 apiece to his children, Hosea, Sabina, Zilla, and Mentor, at the age of 21 or sooner if they marry. The widow was to have life use of the rest of the property, and Eliza to have enough to make $200.00 (she had had part). The property, at the widow's decease, was to be equally divided among the heirs. His part of the land held in Frederickstown with his two oldest sons, and his part of the sawmill, to be sold. He retained the original home of his father in Carmel and continued theiron business. The only record of his estate at Poughkeepsie is: 21 Nov. 1794, Isaac Fuller, Moses Hazen and Philip Smith, all of Fredericksburg in Frederickstown in Dutchess County, gave bond in the sum of 800 pounds for Isaac Fuller as adminstrator of the estate of Eleazer Hazen late of the same place, farmer. l After his death his family scattered, making it difficult to secure accurate records. Mis Chloe Fuller of Warren, CT, a niece of Hannah (Fuller) Hazen, wrote on her 72nd birthday, 26 OCT 1887, that the children Lydia and Amzi Hazen came to Warren soon after their father's death and lived with their uncle and aunt Sackett until they married.

Capt. He served with his brothers, Caleb, Aaron and Moses, in the 7th Regiment, Dutchess County Militia (Col. Henry Luddenton) in the Revolution. He was appointed Ensign, 26 Sept. 1786, Lieutenant, 27 Mar. 1787, and Captain, 1 June 1793, of Dutchess County Light Infantry, and was called deceased in 1797 when Hezekiah Rowland succeeded him.

Alexander Sackett of Warren, CT, conveyed to Isaac Hazen, also of Warren, for $333.34, eight acres at South Warren, 10 Dec. 1807. Deacon Amos Fowler (1752-1834) was admitted to the Warren Congregational Church, 4 July 1805, from West Stockbridge, MA. On 1 Mar. 1813, Amos Fowler of Warren, "for good and natural affection," conveyed to Sally, wife of Isaac Hazen, "my second daughter," land and buildings , and on the following day Isaac and Sally Hazen conveyed one third of
the same property, where they then dwelt, back to Amos Fowler; Isaac and Sally Hazen, still of Warren, made another deed to Amos Fowler , 11 Apr. 1827.
Isaac Hazen and Sally his wife were admitted to the church "by profession," 1 July 1821. Their children, Julia Ann, Alexander Sackett, Sarah Eliza, Amos Fowler, and Hannah Adeline, were baptized 4 Aug. 1822. [Warren Church records.]

Died 16 or 18 Apr. 1867. Isaac Wedge (born 1750, died 12 Apr. 1812) served as a Private in Capt. Joseph Carter's Co., 13th Regt., CT Militia,12 Aug. to 8 S ept. 1776. The story is told that Ruby Wedge was engaged to marry Reuel Blake; that he made a final voyage and was hanged as apirate, and in her despondency Ruby declared she would marry the firstman who asked her. That was Amzi Hazen.
Mr. Hazen, it is said, was adopted and brought up by Alexander Sackett of Warren. He bought of David Pulford one fourth part of a grist-mill, dwelling and barn. 19 Feb. 1830
