Grace Gertrude Towner was born in Wessington Springs, South Dakota ,
June 22, 1890. Graduated from Centralia High School. Taught school one
term. Married JohnW. Mulford on April 1912. They lived in and around
Centralia. They had two daughters. John was killed by a train November 5,
1916. Grace went to business College for six months and went to work.
Most of the time in Real Estate and Insurance. Was in the book-keeping
dept. of a department store for six years. Had a bad street car accident
in 1938 and was in the hospital for 9 months and was two years before
able to walk without crutches. Had another accident in 1940 (car) was
pretty well battered up again. Got back to work in 1942. Lived in Seattle
from February 1924 to October 1954. Her two girls were married in a
Double Wedding Ceremony in 1936. Married William Rains in 1946. Took
Annie to live with her after her family were all gone from home. Lived
together in Seattle for 5 years. Returned tjo Centralia in October 1954.

Grace G. Towner's Obituary;
" A resident of Centralia for 80 years, Mrs. Grace G. [Towner]
Rains, 81, died Thursday morning in a Centralia hospital.
Mrs. Rains was born June 22, 1890, in South Dakota.
She was graduated from Centralia High School in 1911 and also a
graduate of the Centralia Business College.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Henry [Elnora] Moore, Cottage
Grove, Ore., and Mrs. Lloyd [Leona] Stevens, Sacremento, Calif.; two
sisters, Mrs. Florence Vincent, Centralia, and Mrs. Lilly Schorer,
Tacoma; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Newell-Hoerling's Centralia,
with the Rev. Harvey Hartling officiating. Interment will be in the
Washington Lawn Cemetary, Centralia. " [ Also where Harry Hayes Mulford
is buried. ]

Elnora Frances Mulford graduated Queen Anne HighSchool and married Henry
C. Moore on June 27, 1936. Lived in Seattle, Washington, Redding,
California, and Cottage Grove, Oregon. They had two children.
1. Perry A Moore graduated highschool in Redding, California in
1959. He was born in Seattle, February 6, 1941. Has worked for Boeing's
in Seattle and Renton since graduation. Is a department head in an
electrical departmant. Married and has two children, Sonia and Kevin.
2. Lawrence A. Moore Born in Seattle May 20, 1943 and graduated
Redding High School. He had some College and worked in Seattle. Worked
for Seattle Title and Trust Bank in Seattle and is an Officer in the
Bank. Married and has 2 Children, Brian and Douglas.

Liona Iris Mulford was born October 25, 1914 in Centralia, Washington.
Graduated from High School in Seattle. Married Melvin Davis June 27,
1936. They had one child, Richard Lee Davis. He was born in Seattle on
May 23, 1937. They Separated in November 1938. Leona ran a power machine
in a bag plant (sent Dick down to Margarets on the farm). Married L. J.
(Steve) Stevens a U. S. Naval man. He was in the Navy in Honolulu when
Japs attacked. His job was to wig-wag the flags, everything that happened
in Honolulu out to the Battleship in the harbor. He was sent back there
when they were married June n1946 with Shore duty. They had a son born
there. He was sent next to Pennsylvania as a recrutiting officer. He
retired after 22 years in the Navy and moved to Los Angeles. Got a Govt.
job in the Air Transporation Dept. He was sent to New Mexico and later to
Sacramento, California where they still live.
When they were married L. J. Stevens adopted Leona's son by first
marriage and they raised as Richard Lee Stevens.
