    Burton E. Doan, age 81, of 95 Rose Park Court, Clintonville, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at his home. He was born May 27, 1919, in Neopit, the son of Edward and Rose (Anderson) Doan. He graduated from Shawano High School and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was married on July 16, 1946, in Waukegan, Illinois, to Leona Buhrandt. She preceded him in death on May 7, 1993. He lived in the Milwaukee area for 40 years and moved to Clintonville in 1995. He was very active in several sports and in his later years enjoyed watching sports on television. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Burton is survived by: three sons, Bill (Evelyn) Doan, Janesville, Robert Doan, Waukesha, John Doan, Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Bart (Michelle) Doan, Angela (Andy) Schatschneider, Gary and Cory Doan; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter and Abby; two brothers, Jerry (Helen) Doan, New Mexico, Lorne Doan, Clintonville. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Timothy Lamkin officiating. Military rites will be by the Shawano American Legion at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services at the funeral home.
