Note: Bill retired from the Michigan Highway Department after 25 years. He started there when he was 17, and as he was still young, he went to live in Alaska and was there until the Alcan Highway was completed. When the huge earthquake struck, the house next door to his disappeared, but his stood fast. He later went to Indonesia, and when his wife died he returned to Prescott, AZ. He eventually gave his house to his two sons and returned to Indonesia where he married his secretary and had another child.
