      and from pg 182, Nathan Jeffers died at the home of his son George Jeffers
      and from pg 404; "Nathan Jeffers, May 23, 1854; 63, 1, 23."

      The first settlement made in the west part of the town was about 1815, wh en Robert Jeffers, with his two sons, William and John, and Nathan Jeffer s, purchased about two miles west of the valley, towards Wayne Centr e. It was long known as the Jeffers settlement.
