Dad (HC Hurst Jr.) was born in Montana where his parents spent a few years trying to rise wheat in the prarie up near the Canadian border. They returned to Macon County, North Carolina on a train with several children and two plow horses, a loom that Grandma Hurst used to weave cloth with, and other stuff.
