Obituary from the Daily Oklahoman on June 1, 1954 ( on page 6 ) FUNERAL TODAY FOR CITY VICTIM IN LAKE TRAGEDY Services for Don Russel Sharp, 34 of Oklahoma City upholster who drowned early Sunday while swimming at Lake Murry will be at 2 PM Tuesday in the first Baptist Church Chapel with graveside services at Blanchard. Sharp was born Blanchard and came to Oklahoma City in 1937. He served in the Navy in WWII with the Atlantic Fleet and took part in the Invasion of North Africa. A member of the Baptist Church, Sharp was an upholster here with Dulaney Manufacturing Co. Suvivors include his mother, Mrs Nancy Sharp of the home at 1010 N. Eubanks: 3 sisters, Opal Sharp of the home: Mrs Maxine Woolf 1000 Lackey drive and Mrs Mary Sherburne 6611 N. W. 11 and brother Ray Sharp, San Antonio , Texas.
