    John I. Larison was married near Bedford, January 3, 1894, to Miss Rose Ernest, who was born in Kansas and was reared in Iowa. They have no children of their own but are rearing and educating an orphan boy and girl........ About 1889 he was joined in a partnership by his brother, G. W. Larison, and together they rented and carried on the home place, and also rented and cultivated other land. In the fall of 1896 they purchased three hundred and twenty acres of land and located where they now reside, on section 26, Clayton township.

    John married Rose Rebecca Ernest on 03 Jan 1894 in Jackson Township, Taylor County, Iowa. Rose (daughter of August Ernest and Hannah Magdeline Deitch) was born on 23 Jul 1874 in Phillipsburg, Phillips County, Kansas; died on 09 Jan 1967 in Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa; was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa.
