Adaline Reeves

Notes:

Adaline is believed to be a Reeves based on the following facts:1) In the 1850 Census, Nancy Jones is living with Henry Jones. The children in the household are Martha 21, Benjamin 17, Sabra 13, Rachel 9, and Susannah 6 Reeves.2) In the 1860 Census, Nancy Reeves is living with Clinton and Adaline Jones. In this census, Nancy is 45 and Adaline is 28. Nancy is old enough to be Adaline's mother. The children are not listed in this census.3) In the court case, Littleton Collier et al. vs. James Draper adm, James Draper is the administrator of the estate of James Pharris. There is a listing of notes of which Clinton Jones and Benjamin Reeves share the note.4) Marion Richard Jones' death certificate (TN - 1944 - #24904) states that his mother was Adline Reeves. However, it also contains several errors. It states that his father was Frank Marion Jones (should be Clinton Jones). It also gives his birth year as 1887, but his age was 87 years old and he died in 1944.5) Sidney Stanton Jones' death certificate (TN - 1935 - #25977) states that Adeline maiden name was Jenkins.

Adaline married Clinton Jones about 1846 in Jackson County, Tennessee. Clinton (son of Claiborn Jones and Frances Keelin) was born on 22 Jun 1830 in Jackson County, Tennessee; died on 27 Feb 1907 in Sumner County, Tennessee; was buried in Jones Cemetery, Sumner County, Tennessee. 1. David Fink Jones was born in Feb 1870 in Jackson County, Tennessee; died after 1900.
2. Sidney Stanton Jones was born on 12 Oct 1862 in Jackson County, Tennessee; and died.
3. Sarah Frances Jones was born on 09 Jan 1866 in Jackson County, Tennessee; died on 13 Mar 1935 in Jackson County, Tennessee; was buried in Jones And Huff Cemetery, Jackson, Tennessee.
