brother Lloyd deceased and Martha's mother Lorraine McNeil Pinder,
deceased.Her father was Donald Mc Neil and her mother was Ella Mae Milligan
McNeil. I have just moved and can't put my hands on some papers but I have
legal immigration papers signed by Queen of England for my Granfather .

This aged and respected citizen passed away at his late home in Haynes township at 5:35 Tuesday morning. Deceased had been ill about six weeks; the immediate cause of death was paralysis. He was a patient sufferer and was ready to go, and the end came peacefully in the presence of the surviving members of the family, comprising his wife and nine children.

Donald married Emily Baker in 1848 in Canada. Emily was born about 1826 in Canada; died on 06 Apr 1907 in Haynes Township, Alcona County, Michigan; was buried in Mt Joy Cemetery, Haynes Township, Alcona County, Michigan. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The fact that Archibald is Donald's father is a guess by me. I made the connection because:
- living on adjacent lots in 1851 census
- only 2 McNeil families on that census
- Archibald was born in Scotland, Donald's father shown born in Scotland on donald's census records.
- The ages of the 2 work.
- There is a small child named Baker in Archibald's household. Donald married Emily Baker 3 years earlier.

The one fact that does not match is Mary (Archibald's wife) was born in Scotland, Donald's mother is listed on census records as born in Canada. But as Donald was born in scotland, it is likely that his mother was from scotland as well. Mary died in 1851, and Archibald might have remarried a woman from Canada.
