Mrs. Mary Hastings of Hayens, a resident of the county since 18?7, died at the home of her daughter, Mr. D. McArthur, in that Township last Saturday.

Mrs. Hastings was born in Ireland on April 21, 1835, and came to Alcona County 54 years ago, making her home here since that time.

The funeral was held in the Presbyterian CHurch in Haynes Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Boyce officiating, and the remains interred in Mt. Joy cemetery.

A brother, Wilson ARMSTRONG of Tawas City; four sons, Joseph of Knife River, Minn.; Robert of Harrisville; George of the Canadian Northwest; and three daughters, Mrs. D. MACARTHUR, of Haynes; Mrs. Jos. Miller of Harrisville; and Mrs. M. ????bury of Knife River, Minn., survive her.

´bª: ´/bªFatal Accident. A very sad accident happened Tuesday at D. B. Mudgett's camp back of Alcona. Abram Fleming, an aged gentleman, of about 67 years, and one of the old residents of Alcona township, who was employed at the camp, was struck on the head and one shoulder by a heavy, falling limb from a tree and so badly injured that he died the following day. Of Mr. Fleming's life and general history, the Review knows but very little, more than that he had the reputation of being a fine old gentleman and hard worker. He leaves two sons, James and Thomas Fleming, also farmer residents of Alcona.
