1. Jesse Mabrey was born in 7 Jun 1815 or 1813 in Jackson County, Tennessee (son of Seth Mabrey and R. Henry); died on 09 Dec 1888 in Jackson County, Tennessee; was buried in Zion Cemetery, Jackson County, Tennessee. Notes:
Jesse and Matilda's farm bordered Zion Church of Christ where they raised 12 children. This family supported the Confederacy and sent their four oldest sons into military service. George and Josiah died in battle. A picture, taken in 1899, showed Matilda and her seven children still living in TN with their spouses. Jesse had died in 1888. William Jefferson had died in 1891. Elizabeth and James Bailey had moved to TX. The occasion was a family reunion at Matilda's farm in which 100 people attended. Had birth year as 1815. Jesse married Matilda McClelland about 1835. Matilda (daughter of Josiah McClelland and Rhoda Condra) was born on 01 Oct 1815 in Monroe, Kentucky; died on 15 Dec 1900 in Tennessee; was buried in Zion Cemetery, Jackson County, Tennessee. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
Children:- Joshua M Mabrey was born on 23 Nov 1839; died on 12 Aug 1901; was buried in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Putnam County, Tennessee.
