At age 11, Mary's father was injured and suffered a paralyzing stroke, which affected his mind. There was no way to care for him at home, so he was sent to the "Insane Asalym" at Pueblo, Colorado. A Sad situation since he was not insane, and not dangerous, jusr a helpless cripple, a sad, sad thing to remember.
