  2. 9.  Bertha Bennett was born in 1765 in East Hampton, Long Island, New York (daughter of Edward Bennett and E.); and died.

    Notes:

On page 480 of the "East Hampton History", Jonathan 6, married a
"Bethia" Bennett. When I checked the Bennett Family I found a "Bertha"
Bennett on page 228, daughter of Edward 5. She was born in 1765 and
married Jonathan Mulford, I therefore concluded that one was a nickname
or it was misspelled previously, but since I found no other explanation I
am using the Bennett Family spelling and assuming Bethia and Bertha are
    the same person.
