Volume 4, page 162 Simsbury´uª0 ´uª0 Land Records, has the following entry: "23rd day of December, 1720, Whereas´uª0 ´uª0 Andrew´uª0 ´uª0 Moore of Simsbury,since September 10, 1717, hath entered and well´uª0 ´uª0 improved two´uª0 ´uª0 Entire parcels of Town Common in Simsbury on the east side of the´uª0 ´uª0 river by virtue of a´uª0 ´uª0 town Grant, therefore we, Lieut. John Pettybone, Joseph Case Sen´uª0 ´uª0 (senior) and Samuel´uª0 ´uª0 Humophries being comitte have for euer Quit claimed the title´uª0 ´uª0 the town had to these´uª0 ´uª0 lands to the said Andrew."
