Transcription : DONALD MCNEIL. This aged and respected citizen passed away at his late home in Haynes township at 5:35 Tuesday morning. Deceased had been ill about six weeks; the immediate cause of death was paralysis. He was a patient sufferer and was ready to go, and the end came peacefully in the presence of the surviving members of the family, comprising his wife and nine children. Mr. McNiel was of the sturdy Scotch race: he was born in Loch Gilphead, Argyleshire, Scotland, July 15, 1818, and was therefore 79 years of age. He removed to Canada in 1842, where six years later he married Emily Baker. Their union was blessed with ten children, all but one of whem are living. The family moved to Alcona county in 1870, and settled in Haynes township. The surviving children are Mrs. D. Mulholland, Mrs. Mary McDonald, Mrs. Frances Yuill, Mrs. Sarah Witter, Mrs. Solon Woolever, Miss Emma McNeil, Archie, Alexander, and Donald, Jr. The interment will take place Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Haynes cemetery. The service will be held in the Presbyterian church, of which deceased has been an elder for many years. Rev. Cram of Black River will conduct the services. Undertaker Mayo of Harrisville will direct the funeral.
