Transcription : ALCONA ATOMS. On the 3d there were several venerable looking old ladies congregated at the residence of Mr. Clark, and in a short time he heard a peculiar squall and one of the old ladies stuck her head out of the room, and he asked what is it? Answer, a girl. "H--l, thunder, and lightning, I wanted a boy!" Five girls and only two boys.
