Description : Duncan McArthur waives examination after being charged with intent to kill George Sousie.
Transcription : Waived His Examination. Duncan McArthur, Sheriff McDonald and Prosecuting Attorney Smith went to Black River Tuesday, where the first named was arraigned before Justice Snowden on the charge of assault with intent to kill Geo. Sousie. The people presented their case but McArthur put in no defence and waived further examination to the circuit court. McArthur will continue to occupy his present quarters in the jail until the next sitting of court in January, as he is unable to furnish the rquired bail of $3,000 with two sureties.
