  They also had a son who died near childbirth, in Haynes Twp, year unknown When Mary was pregnant again she was worried so they went back to Proton Twp. She gave birth to Mary Gillies Campbell on May 25, 1885 who died on June 15, 1885. Her mother died 5 days earlier on June 10, 1885.
