Notes |
- Mary was born in Shippensburg, what was then Cumberland County, PA. She arrived in Clearfield County with her parents. Mary married John Weiser (1762-1842) at age 15, in 1780. They probably met in Clearfield Co.
Her father could have been Robert, George, or David Wilson, who were all listed in Clearfield County. They may have been brothers. They may have come from Scotland to York County, PA. They are included in the Clearfield County history as being among the earliest settlers. There is a George Wilson, a Quaker, in Half Moon Twp, Centre Co, who bought land from Dewalt Hess, who bought it from David Litz.
For more on George Wilson, read story on Dewalt Hess. Also, follow the web link at bottom right of this profil for possible family on the Huntingdon Co history.
