Obit: Wilmer S. Young - Saginaw, Michigan - Passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at St. Maryís of Michigan at the age of 77 years. Wilmer was born in Detroit, Michigan January 6, 1930 the son of the late Robert and Myrtle (Burnham) Young. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 439. He retired in 1989 after serving as the chief accountant for Saginaw County for over twenty years. Wilmer is survived by his life partner, Patricia Simerson; four children, Terry Young, Florida, Milfred (Kathy) Young, Tennessee, Tammy (Kevin) Earls, Kansas and Tim (Christie) Young, Kansas; two step-children, Marty Papp, Ohio and Mary (Danny) Brockett, Kansas; Patriciaís children, Gary (Terri) Simerson and Terri Villanueva; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren and his brother, Alan (Chloanne) Young, Harrisville, Michigan. Besides his parents, Wilmer was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer and two brothers, Milfred and Robert. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. John Poling will officiate with military services under the auspices of American Legion Post No. 439. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations may be made for the family wishes.
