    • OBITUARY OF GLADYS HALL MULFORD
      (Lon's Aunt, wife to Basil Mulford)

      Gladys N. Mulford, 69, a resident of Gardiner for six years, died
      Thursday, September 28, 1995, in her home. Cause of death is not
      available. (Cancer, I think it started out in the bladder)
      She was born October 6, 1925, in Minesota to Dewey and Mabel (Clark)
      Hall. She moved to Washington in October 1926. She graduated from
      Chehalis High School in 1945.
      She married Basil E. Mulford February 1, 1944, in Centralia. They
      lived in various places in Washington, including many years in Olympia.
      Mrs. Mulford was a radio operator and worked for the U. S. Post
      Office for 20 years as a rural mail carrier.
      She was a seventh-degree Grange member, having joined in 1950. She
      also belonged to American Federation of Mineralogical Societies and
      Tenino Rock Cruisers. She was secretary of Newaukum Rockhounds since 1951.
      Mrs. Mulford is survived by a stepdaughter, Carol Shankel, Kansas;
      and two sisters, Dollie Mckinley, Mossyrock, and June Mulford, Vancouver.
      She was preceded in death by her husband, Basil, in 1993.
      A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, in
      Forest Memorial Gardens, Olympia.
      The family suggest memorial donations be made to Hospice of
      jefferson County.
      Arrangements are by Forest Funeral Home, Olympia.
