Obituary:
Merrill, Michigan Passed away Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Aleda Lutz Veterans Administration Hospital, age 75 years, following a lengthy illness. Richard was born March 30, 1930 in Fenton, Michigan the son of the late John and Dorothy (McFadden) McCluskey. He married Virginia Sfinas on June 29, 1952 and she survives him. Dick was employed at Dow Corning for thirty years from 1955 to 1985. He was a man who loved the outdoors. This was passed onto him by his father and mother, Jack and Dorothy. They had cottages in Oscoda, Michigan and spent many years enjoying the back waters of the AuSable River, fishing and duck hunting. The Huron National Forest provided many great deer hunts and memories for Dick, who sowed this love of the outdoors into all three of his sons. Besides his wife, Virginia, Dick is survived by three sons and their spouses, and nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at W. L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, Merrill. Rev. Richard Gossett will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Aleda Lutz Veterans Administration Hospital.
