  Edward Bangs was a shipwright who was born in Chichester, Sussex County, England, and emigrated to the Plymouth Colony on the ship Anne in 1623 and died at Eastham, Barnstable County, MA. Note: 41st and 43rd U.S. Presidents, George Herbert Walker Bush, and George Walker Bush are descended from Edward Bangs and Rebecca Hobart, through their son, Capt. Jonathan Bangs (1650-1710/1), a brother of Hannah Bangs* (c1644-a1667). See the Bangs Family Page.
