I checked the Leadville newspaper around that time to see if there was an article on their wedding. I had a couple of relatives get married in Leadville and both of them had an article. There was no mention of William's wedding so I have a feeling it was a pretty small affair.

Minute-men of the county" - elected, originally, Ebenezer Slason, to be it's Captain; Henry Slason, to
be it's First Lieutenant; Ebenezer Scofield, to be it's Second Lieutenant; Daniel Waterberry, to be it's
Ensign; but, subsequently, when Captain Slason was promoted, Henry slaon was made Captain,
Ebenezer Scofield was promoted to First Lieutenancy, Daniel Waterberry to Second Lieutenancy,
and David Purdy was made it's Ensign.
